Tangerine’s Tale of Strength 

Tangerine’s story is one of resilience, second chances, and the power of compassion. 🧡

This handsome orange boy had been living outdoors, quietly surviving on his own, when he was discovered with a broken leg. It was clear he was in pain and desperately needed help. Once safely in our care, our veterinary team determined that the best way to give Tangerine a pain-free future was amputation.

Losing a leg hasn’t slowed him down one bit. After surgery, Tangerine recovered in a loving foster home where his true personality began to shine. He is incredibly friendly, endlessly cuddly, and happiest when he’s curled up beside his people. Now fully healed, he’s learning just how wonderful indoor life can be and he’s adjusting beautifully to being a tripod!

Tangerine’s soon-to-come happy ending is possible because of the Have a Heart Fund, which ensures animals like him receive the urgent medical care they need without hesitation. Because of that support, his painful past has turned into a bright, hopeful future.
