The Have a Heart Fund exists for the animals who need more than the basics: the injured, the sick, the seniors, and the overlooked.

In 2025 alone, this fund has already provided life-changing care to more than 450 animals, with over $110,000 invested in critical veterinary treatment. These are costs above and beyond standard shelter care and they make all the difference between suffering and healing.

Every animal who enters our shelter receives vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip prior to adoption. But many arrive needing urgent medical attention that goes further: diagnostics, bloodwork, X-rays, dental procedures, heartworm treatment, and life-saving surgeries such as amputations or tumor removals.
